The wedding was meant to be the happiest day of her life. White roses covered the hall, soft music played in the background, and guests smiled as the bride walked toward the man she loved.

But before the night was over, the celebration turned into a nightmare that nobody would ever forget. In the middle of the reception, the bride suddenly began to feel weak. At first, everyone thought it was just stress or excitement. She tried to smile, placed a trembling hand against her chest, and whispered something to her groom.

Then she collapsed onto the floor.

The music stopped instantly.

Panic spread through the room. Guests screamed, glasses shattered, and relatives rushed toward her. The groom dropped to his knees beside her, desperately calling her name while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Paramedics came within minutes and tried everything to save her. Medical equipment beeped loudly across the silent ballroom while family members cried and prayed nearby.

But after a long attempt to revive her, one of the doctors quietly announced the time of death.

The room fell completely silent.

Later, officials claimed the bride had died from poisoning. Some people believed it was an accident, while others whispered darker theories. But the family was too devastated to think clearly.

The following morning, her body was transported to the city morgue.

A young employee named Anna had only been working there for a short time. She still wasn’t fully used to the cold corridors, dim lights, and heavy silence inside the building.

When the bride’s body was brought into the room, Anna immediately felt something was wrong.

The woman didn’t look dead.

Her makeup was untouched. Her hair was still perfectly arranged. The white wedding dress looked elegant and clean, as though she had just left the ceremony.

But one detail terrified Anna the most.

The bride’s cheeks were still pink.

Not pale.

Not gray.

Pink like someone still alive.

A cold feeling ran through Anna’s body.

After the family members left, she slowly walked closer to the metal table and carefully touched the bride’s hand.

Anna froze.

The skin was warm.

Not slightly warm — truly warm.

Her breathing became shaky.

“This can’t be real…” she whispered.

Slowly, she leaned closer and pressed her ear against the bride’s chest.

At first there was silence.

Then—

THUMP.

A weak heartbeat.

Very faint.

But unmistakably real.

Anna stepped backward in horror.

If the woman was alive, she could have been sent for an autopsy while still breathing.

Without hesitating, Anna ran through the hallway and rushed to the doctor’s office.

“Doctor, please come quickly! She’s alive!”

The doctor looked up with irritation.

“Who is alive?”

“The bride! Her body is warm, and I heard her heartbeat!”

The man sighed heavily but eventually followed her back into the room.

The bride still lay motionless on the table.

The doctor checked her pulse, examined her eyes, and placed a stethoscope against her chest.

Anna watched nervously.

“Well?” she asked softly.

The doctor removed the stethoscope and shook his head.

“After death, the body can remain warm for some time. Poisoning can also cause muscle reactions. You imagined the heartbeat.”

“But I know what I heard.”

“You’re inexperienced,” he replied coldly. “This job affects people psychologically.”

Then he walked away.

But Anna could not calm herself.

Something felt deeply wrong.

The bride looked too peaceful. Too natural. Too alive.

A few minutes later, Anna noticed something horrifying.

The bride’s fingers moved slightly.

Anna’s blood ran cold.

She leaned closer.

“If you can hear me… give me another sign,” she whispered.

No response.

That night, before leaving work, Anna secretly placed a small camera in the corner of the room facing the bride’s body.

She told nobody.

Around three o’clock in the morning, her phone suddenly vibrated.

Motion detected.

With trembling hands, Anna opened the camera feed.

At first, nothing seemed unusual.

The room was silent.

The bride remained motionless.

Then suddenly—

The body jerked violently.

Anna stopped breathing.

Slowly and unnaturally, the bride turned her head.

A second later, her eyes opened.

Wide with fear.

Alive.

Anna nearly dropped her phone in terror.

On the screen, the bride began struggling against the metal table, desperately trying to move and gasp for air.

Anna rushed back to the morgue as fast as she could.

When she burst into the room, the bride was lying on the floor beside the table, breathing heavily.

Alive.

Completely alive.

Doctors immediately transferred her to intensive care while panic spread through the entire building. If Anna had ignored her instincts, the woman would have been cut open alive during the autopsy.

But the most horrifying discovery came later.

Investigators found evidence that the bride had been injected with a rare substance designed to slow the heartbeat and breathing almost to zero, making a living person appear dead.

And someone had done it deliberately.

Soon, suspicion fell on the one person nobody expected.

The groom.

Police later discovered he had secretly taken out a massive insurance policy in the bride’s name only weeks before the wedding. Security footage also showed him handing her a drink moments before she collapsed.

The entire city was horrified.

The man who cried beside her body… was almost the man who buried her alive.

But even after his arrest, one detail continued to haunt everyone involved.

Anna later admitted that when she returned to the morgue after seeing the camera footage…

The room’s door was locked from the inside.

And nobody else had a key.
