At first, I assumed they were plastic beads or maybe children\u2019s toy pearls spilled across the soil. But the closer I got, the stranger they looked. They were perfectly round, smooth, almost glowing in the pale morning sunlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I placed several of the strange spheres into an old plastic container and carried them into the house. Even while walking, I could swear they were slightly moving. I kept trying to convince myself that it was only my imagination, but panic was already building inside me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online, I found horrifying images of gardens completely overrun, walls covered with crawling snails, and thick carpets of slimy creatures spreading everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I slowly turned back toward the container.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those white spheres no longer looked harmless. They seemed disgusting, unnatural\u2026 almost alien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then something happened that I will never forget for the rest of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
